Connecting Actively with Nature

Connecting Actively to Nature is a new project that will help people aged 55 and over get more Naturally Active. Wednesday mornings during June and July join us for a short walk, a view and a brew!  10 minute walks around the top of the estuary in Kingsbridge with the AONB Projects Officer, Adam – a keen birdwatcher, for some wildlife spotting before heading back to a nearby café for a cuppa. These walks are for you if are 55 or over, want to get more active in our amazing landscape and meet some of the residents of Kingsbridge!

During the project we will work with a wide range of people from our communities, discover more about the AONB and look closely at the distinctive character of the natural heritage which makes up this nationally important landscape.

The B-lines (Biodiversity-lines) project is being undertaken in partnership with Buglife and aims to provide a solution to the loss of wildflowers, bees and other pollinators in our countryside.

Permanent strips of wildflower-rich habitats will be created across South Devon from the west to the east, and from the north to the south, linking Dartmoor to the coast, and linking our towns and urban areas to the countryside.
